Paper Cranes, Kyoto

Paper Cranes, Kyoto

During my visit to Kyoto, all the temples we went to were unmistakably beautiful in their own right. These chains of paper cranes were at one of these beautiful temples as the school children, before taking their college acceptance exams, will make these chains as a sort of “good luck charm”. They leave them at the temple where they will pray for good results often with their parents and grandparents.
